Whale Herder is a Barrel Fermented Cream Ale. We used Pils malt, flaked corn, and lightly hopped it with Chinook, and aged it in neutral oak barrels. Whale Herder has the color of light straw with moderate haze. It tastes slightly sweet with lovely minerality with aromatics of biscuit, bread crust, honey suckle, white grape, and pear, with a touch of oak. Whale Herder drinks super smooth with a light mouthfeel and moderate carbonation.
